The boxes are really starting to look like homes at this point. EPDM roofing has started to be installed, interior doors are getting set and cabinetry is appearing. For those wondering why the EPDM is black instead of white or some other reflective color, every inch of our roof top will be covered with either a green roof or a recycled rubber paver. These components will block direct sunlight to the roof, so the color became moot.
We are also stoked to see Bmajor coming to life and we’re posting a photo of a rough-out of one of the windows (3rd floor, rear bedroom, south side). What makes this home special is not only its larger size, but the windows on the south face allow most spaces to have multiple window walls.
Tomorrow, tile should start to make an appearance so look for that. On-site, we’ve been plugging away at excavation in this frigid weather. If only there were a way to excavate indoors like we build the homes!
